Primer viaje: PANAMÁ / Mi first Trip: PANAMÁ

¿No debemos equivocarnos?

-------------------------------------------

After my alleged attempt to cause intrigue in my previous blog, I will continue with my story.

Therefore, two weeks after being fired, (a complete drama I have to confess), I went to travel to Panama, known worldwide for the Panama Canal, and touristically for its paradisiacal islands in the Caribbean Ocean. You can imagine what a great trip. Also, I have to tell you that I was lucky to have a friend with a house in the old quarter. It was beautiful. And economic. I was there for 13 days, doing nothing most of the time.

The harsh reality is that not everything is as idyllic as one thinks. On the one hand, the heat there is unbearable, as soon as you leave the house you are already sweating. Move a bit to the right or left and you're done. And the reason is that Panama City has nothing to do with the islands. On the other hand, it is an unattractive city with tall buildings and outdated roads. Although is true that Panamanians are very open and friendly people, I warn you that if you are blonde with blue eyes (c`est moi) or Asian, you will feel observed constantly .

Asian harassment memories:

We were three friends on the trip. Me, the friend of the house and an Asian friend. Although she was stunning, there is no reason for such an observation. I literally caught people filming us on the phone. They called her the queen, the goddess. They were puzzled with her. And the funniest thing was how they tried to seduce her in Spanish. The truth is that the situation reminded me of the typical Spanish comedy film. "The journey of an Asian, a Latino and a Polish".

Going back to what is important: I love to travel. It was the first time in my life that I went outside the borders of the European Union. I was shocked and excited by whatever I saw. I even got excited when I saw pigeons there, something very stupid if you live in Barcelona. Here the conclusion is that I realized that I needed to travel more around the world: 22 years of my life with the same routine, same friends, same house, same bars and same beers.

Aren't we too young to be stuck in one place? Shouldn't we make mistakes? And what about learning to be alone in a completely different country?

I don't know about you, but I am up for it.

"A bad day in Bali is still better than a good day anywhere else"

"A bad day in Bali is still better than a good day anywhere else" That was the first grafitti I saw when I was on my way to my uncles home, at 1 in the morning. TWENTY hours of flight, I was so tired I could already feel the jetlag hiting me.  For those who have been in Bali, I was staying in Canggu Area, Berawa. A very nice and confortable neighborhood. The best thing about the location is that is only ten minutes from the  parties and the center, yet you never have to  put u p with them.  Bali Belly:  essentially an upset stomach or travellers' diarrhoea.  Thats what ha p p ened right after my arrival. For 2 days I could not move from home having this horrible feeling in the stomach. Didn`t bother me much though, cause I had a big garden and swimming  p ool, and of course, my family. Too much to talk about.  But hold on, not everything is that bad.  I met 2 french sisters that same weekend, who were raised in Bali and just came back t...
